Streetfinch

Coming soon to iPhone

Your Google Maps rank changes from street to street.

Streetfinch checks one search phrase from spots all around your business and puts the answers on a map. You see where nearby customers find you, and where they find someone else first.

Streetfinch ranking map for the search phrase “coffee near me”. Nine numbered, color-coded search locations surround a pin labeled Your business. A green 2 and 3 sit to the north, yellow 4 to 9 fill the middle and south, and one red marker to the northwest means not found. Below the map the app says: You are in the top 3 in part of this area. The business shown, Fixture Coffee, is made-up sample data.

How a check works

  1. Step 1: Find your business

Search by name and confirm it is the right listing on Google Maps.

  2. Step 2: Choose what customers search for

Use the service you offer, such as “dentist near me”, not your business name. That is how new customers look.

  3. Step 3: See your rank across the neighborhood

Each number on the map is your rank when someone searches from that spot. You see the cost before every check.

What you will see

A plain answer, and who is ahead of you

Every check opens with one sentence, such as “You are in the top 3 in part of this area”, and tells you where you are strongest and weakest. Streetfinch then names the businesses that outrank you and at how many search locations each one is ahead.

  • Top 3
  • 4 to 10
  • 11 to 20
  • Not found
Part of the Streetfinch dashboard. The latest check reads: You are in the top 3 in part of this area. Strongest to the north, weakest to the west. Below it: Fixture Roasters is ahead of you at 9 of 9 search locations. All names are made-up sample data.

Whether it is getting better or worse

Run the same check again later. Streetfinch draws the trend for that phrase and puts your first check next to your latest one, so a change is easy to see and easy to show someone else.

A Streetfinch history screen for “coffee near me”. A trend chart rises from an average rank of 12.1 on August 9 to 5.0. Under it, a before and after panel shows two small grids of numbered search locations: the first check is mostly orange and red, the latest has four green top 3 results. The data is a made-up sample.

Several search phrases for each business

Customers do not all type the same thing. Track the phrases that matter to you, such as “coffee near me” and “espresso bar”, and re-check them all at once.

The tracked phrases list in Streetfinch with two phrases. “coffee near me” is in the top 3 at 4 of 9 search locations after 3 checks. “espresso bar” is in the top 3 at 0 of 9 after 2 checks. A button reads: Check all 2 phrases, 18 credits. The data is a made-up sample.

Every business you look after, in one list

Keep several businesses side by side. The ones that slipped since their last check are listed first, and you can set a reminder to re-check each one.

The Businesses list in Streetfinch. Fixture Bakery is listed first with the note: Slipped from 4.6 on September 3. Fixture Coffee is second with: Improved from 8.1 on September 8. A footnote says businesses that slipped since their last check are listed first. Both businesses are made-up sample data.

A report you can hand over

Share any check as a PDF that shows the rankings, explains how to read the numbers and says when the check was run. One document can cover every phrase you track for a business. On the Pro plan, reports carry your own name and logo.

Screens are from the app, using made-up businesses and sample rankings. They are not real customers or real results.
